Seeds of Change – a Proposal on Education for a Sustainable Future was officially opened by Lord Mayor Councillor Fred Charlton at Portsmouth Central Library on the 4th April.
Seeds of Change, first shown at the World Summit for Sustainable Development in 2002, was created by The Earth Charter Initiative and Soka Gakkai International (SGI) as a response to growing concerns for the global environmental crisis. In his opening speech the Lord Mayor said,

The exhibition, which will be on show in the library until 27th April, has been organised by local members of SGI UK – a lay Buddhist organisation and Central Library staff. For information about events linked to the exhibition visit www.sgihants.org
